Working Packages (WPs) are the main operational units of the project, structuring activities into clearly defined objectives, responsibilities, timelines, and results, and ensuring effective coordination and accountability.

WP.1
Project management and coordination

START: Sept 2025 — END: Aug 2027

LEADER: Qualità & Servizi

OBJECTIVE:
To ensure effective management and coordination of the entire project; to facilitate communication among all partner and stakeholders; to ensure compliance with EU guidelines and reporting requirements.

WP.2
Food waste diagnosis at school level and target setting

START: Oct 2025 — END: Mar 2026

LEADER: CibuSalus


OBJECTIVE
:
To measure food waste in schools before the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing waste. This will establish a baseline for comparison and help identify key behavioural and socio-economic factors that contribute to food waste.

  • Analytical report on Food Waste

WP.3
Food waste diagnosis at family level and target setting

START: Oct 2025 — END: May 2026

LEADER: Qualità & Servizi

OBJECTIVE:
To conduct a comprehensive analysis of food waste behaviours in selected household; to identify key areas for improvement; Establish a baseline for food waste and set SMART objectives for reduction.

DELIVERABLES:

  • Food Waste Measurement App

  • Dataset on Food Waste Variables

  • Analytical Report on Food Waste in selected households

WP.4
Development and testing of behavioural change interventions and tools at school and household level

START: Jun 2026 — END: May 2027

OBJECTIVE
:
To develop and implement behavioural change strategies and tools to reduce food waste at both household and school canteen levels.

WP.5
Monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment

START: Jun 2026 — END: Aug 2027

LEADER: UniFi

OBJECTIVE:
To monitor the progress of pilot actions in reducing food waste in both schools and households; to Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions by comparing post-intervention data with baseline data and the SMART objectives set in earlier work packages; to measure quantitative reductions in food waste and qualitative changes in behaviour to understand the overall impact of the project.

WP.6
Community engagement and dissemination

START: Sept 2025 — END: Jul 2027

:
To engage the broader community through public events, workshops, and media campaigns to foster behaviour change.

Sustainability and long-term integration

START: Aug 2026 — END: Aug 2027

OBJECTIVE:
To ensure the long-term sustainability of the project's outcomes, including tools, practices, and interventions developed during the project; to integrate best practices into local policies and the school canteen system to create lasting change; to encourage replication and scaling of the project in other regions and EU countries.
